Hi, my name is Devon!!! I'm an up-and-coming chef, trying to spread love and unite the community through amazing flavors and bold tastes. I've been a chef for the last 3 years in San Francisco, working for a company called "Farming Hope," where we help food-insecure families obtain fresh and nutritious fruits, vegetables, and healthy meals they otherwise may not have access to. Farming Hope also provides free weekly fine dining dinners that are open to all those same food-insecure families and offers a Paid Culinary Apprenticeship program for those having a hard time adjusting back to society and the workplace. After graduating this program, I worked at Farming Hope as one of their Chef/Trainers for 2 and a half years! But after being hit in a hit-and-run accident last year, my dream of becoming one of the greatest chefs in San Francisco has been cut short! And with my health issues taking a turn for the worse, my doctor doesn't see me in anyone's kitchen anytime soon, so it's time for me to get in my own. So, I'm gonna put my pride aside and ask for a little help to get back to chasing my dreams! This money will be used to purchase a food trailer, so that I can get back to my dream of spreading love through food again....
