Over the last two years, I have faced a series of serious health challenges that have completely changed my life. I’ve battled anemia, fibroids, and underwent a total hysterectomy, which led to numerous hospital stays, multiple blood transfusions, and even a bilateral pulmonary embolism. These health issues have made it impossible for me to work full time, and the financial burden has been overwhelming. As a result, I lost my apartment and have been struggling to find stability ever since.

Now, I am facing another major hurdle: I need a total hip replacement due to an accident that happened twenty years ago, which has left me with severe post-traumatic arthritis. Unfortunately, because this is considered an outpatient surgery, my health insurance will not cover the cost of a rehabilitation center where I could recover safely. The space where I currently stay is simply too small for me to heal properly, and I need my own personal space—perhaps an extended stay hotel or Airbnb—for a few weeks after surgery. I just don’t have the means to cover these costs right now, and I am reaching out for support.
