Many of you will already know Devo the Italian Greyhound's story. Found dying in a mangrove swamp in Mexico, he survived heartworm, starvation, injuries all over his body, and fear. He became a beautiful animal and a sweet, sweet dog.
But two months ago, he started to go blind from cataracts. A sighthound relies on his eyes more than most dogs and he is in need of immediate surgery. He has been accepted at Tufts Small Animal Hospital Ophthalmology Department after his lab work was completed, and he passed it with flying colors. There is probably no better place that he could go for eye surgery. Please cross your fingers and send a wish; he’s been through so much.
It’s only a week until Devo has his first appointment! He has had a lot of amazing contributions so far! Thank you all so much. We’re getting closer to the goal every day.
