Hi! My name is Devin and I am a trans woman raising money to move out of Florida, due to numerous laws actively endangering my life and making Florida the most high-risk state for trans people in the US.
Since using the bathroom of my identified (and legal) gender in public buildings is now a crime with fines and prison time, it is unsafe for me to attend college in my home state. Myself and 80% of trans adults on HRT in Florida have lost access to their gender-affirming care. Medical professionals are now allowed to refuse patients based on "ethical, moral, or religious beliefs," even if it puts lives at risk. These laws are just the beginning.
For these reasons and plenty more, I plan to move to a state which grants legal protections to trans people, and finish my degree online to advance my career aspirations. As such, I am seeking financial assistance to secure housing, transfer schools, regain access to HRT and help cover basic living costs as I make this transition. Donating any amount and sharing would be so very appreciated, as it goes a long way towards helping me afford such a massive transition in pursuit of safety, security and trans joy.
