Help Devin in his fight with cancer
Donation protected
Hi friends, family and those coming across my page. In all honesty, it can be hard to ask for help. But I started a go fund me page as I have had multiple people approach asking how to help and if there were any fundraisers going on.
For those of you who don’t know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in July just 2 days after turning 28. I had been dealing with symptoms over the past several months that were at first thought to be IBS-c or something related until more testing was done. a colonoscopy was done in April and it came back clean.
At the beginning of August, I had surgery to remove a rectal mass 7.5 x 5.5 cm big and was also given a permanent colostomy bag. This has been a new life adjustment for me. My post-op recovery has been going smoothly given everything, and I am starting to eat more of a variety of foods and build up stamina through walks to the park and very light movement. I just had my appointment this week to put in my port for chemo.
Even though it feels awkward, I could use any help I could get. I have a beautiful daughter that just turned 1 year old in July and as a single dad, a child that age is growing and always in need of a lot! I haven’t been working since June because at the time, I couldn’t physically keep up. Anything is appreciated - a donation the cost of your morning coffee, a share, good vibes.
If you would prefer to send money directly instead of through here, reach out to me on Facebook and I can provide that information. Thanks again friends and I hope to check in from time to time with updates.
