Help Devin and Kati Through Medical Crisis
Donation protected
My son Devin Dowd recently has undergone an unexpected major medical event. Kati, his fiance,is a stay at home mom who works part-time cleaning houses, and one day,she feels I'll. Kati Cerini was rushed to Renown with an unknown lung condition and placed in ICU for four weeks. Renown reached the end of their expertise and sent her to U.C. Davis in Sacramento where more tests were performed and determined that Palo Alto Stanford Hospital would best serve her needs. Palo Alto Stanford Hospital is fervently working on finding solutions for her lung condition. Recently Devin was informed that her care could take six to twelve months and the potential for a lung transplant.
Devin is fortunate to have a supportive employer with good health benefits;however, this has taken a toll on his ability to provide while being supportive, and he is now a primary care giver. His employers health insurance is excellent;however,he will run out of paid time off in August. The cost of Cobra benefits will be expensive but necessary. Devin is currently staying in hotels and having to move frequently. He is looking for a longer term apartment for him and their daughter. This young hard working family deserves your support to continue to provide Kati with cutting edge care. The lung condition is perplexing doctors, and Stanford definitely is the right place to give Kati a fighting chance to rejoin her family and daughter. I appreciate your support. Devin will post weekly updates to inform everyone of Kati's progress.
