Three ASU students, united by a passion for helping dogs in need, started Devil Dogs—a campus club dedicated to raising awareness about the urgent need for foster caregivers. What began as a small effort on campus has quickly gained momentum, proving that students can make a real difference for dogs in need.
Across the U.S., shelters are overflowing, forcing many dogs into euthanasia simply due to lack of space. Millions of innocent and abandoned dogs never get the second chance they deserve. But there’s a simple solution: fostering. By providing short-term homes, fosters free up shelter space, give dogs a better shot at adoption, and help save lives.
Devil Dogs has partnered with local shelters to host adoption and awareness events, educate students about fostering, and connect dogs with loving temporary caregivers. One of our most successful events, "Paws for a Study Break", gave students the chance to de-stress with adoptable dogs right on campus. That’s where Derringer, a sweet but overlooked shelter pup, met his future family. He went from a crowded kennel to a home filled with love—all because of one event.
Now, we’re working to take the next step; becoming an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit so we can grow our impact and reach even more students and shelter dogs. In the future, we hope to expand to other campuses and build a network of student fosters nationwide. To protect the integrity of our mission and ensure Devil Dogs remains a force for good, we’re also taking steps to secure our name and concept.
But we can’t do it alone. Every donation goes toward:
- Establishing Devil Dogs as a nonprofit
- Hosting foster recruitment & adoption events
- Providing essential resources to student fosters
With your support, we can turn Devil Dogs into a lasting movement that saves the lives of dogs. Donate today and help us grow our impact.
Proceeds are not collected on the behalf of Arizona State University.
