Last Friday night 11/7/25 they were in a serious car accident. I cant and wont go into details, but they are very lucky to be alive. This has come from State and County police and Ems and fire. Devan suffered a major concussion and a few breaks to his back. Lily was cut out of the car along with baby Carson. She suffered lots of brusing and a broken arm and ptsd. Carson was so very blessed to only have a cut above his eye. No one saw Devan get out but somehow he did before help arrived. They all went to a trama center. Devan was admitted then was released later. Besides pain he seemed ok. Fast forward to Wednesday Devan became very hateful, memory loss and weakness. I made some calls and was told to watch him. I have had many people ask where they are.They all three have been at moms and papaws since the accident and plan to remain there until they can recover so they have help as they need it. But will return to their home soon.Right now rest is what's important for them. Moving forward we was told to watch him. Thursday he became very weak and confused. At times not knowing much except his name. He was in serious pain with his back. I took him to his pcp where I was told to get him to Roaonke now he could have a brain bleed. (Yes ems was offered but he is stubborn and refused) After getting here and tons of test they ruled out a brain bleed but that he has a TBI. He under went a almost 3.5 hour MRI tonight of his whole body. At times he seems like himself but then it leaves him and he doesn't know much. His walking and motor skills are being affected alot. Depending on his out come of the scans they may send him to a TBI rehabilitation center because being a week out we should be moving forward not backwards. This could cause long-term damage if not addressed.( Devan does not want to go ) We are also waiting on the spinal surgeon to decide what is best for his back. As most know and know that he doesn't hide his past Devan is a recovering addict. Not once has he asked for pain meds and when they offered he refused. Now I know to some that doesn't matter but to me it does I'm proud of him. Im super proud of Lily she has been put in a hard position just giving birth 6 weeks ago and now a broken arm and a sick husband. She has held her head up and said God has us. Not once has she either asked for a pain pill she has fought hard to be where she is. Lily is still on maurtinty leave and Devan is their only source of income. We have a go fund me setup. I have had people ask about things for Carson he wears huggies size 1 diapers, similac sensitive formula, and huggies wipes, clothing he is a 3-6 months. They have rent and utilities, groceries etc not to mention alot of appointments anything will help. If you cant help share this and pray for them thats helping as well.
