Help Detroit Vesey's move to a better location!

Dear Friends,

We know these are difficult times and unfortunately, Detroit Vesey's has not been exempt from the deep challenges that so many small businesses are currently experiencing.

Since we opened in November of 2021 things have only gotten better and better for us with killer press, 5-star customer reviews, and well-attended events. We love our customers and the community we've built here. We opened this restaurant because we believe in the power of a supportive community through good food, riding bikes, and events that bring people together. We want to keep this mission alive as there aren't many spaces like ours in the Los Angeles area serving the LGBTQ+ community and cyclists.

The response to Detroit Vesey's has been in line with our mission. We were honored to be named "One of the 15 Hottest Restaurants in LA" by Eater LA, "One of the Absolute Best Brunch Spots in LA", and our Drag Shows have been listed as "One of the Best Things to do in LA" by LAist multiple times. We're so grateful for this community support and don't want to give that up.

Unfortunately, despite all the love, the pandemic had created so many unforeseen obstacles draining us of precious resources that we might not survive the year. In addition to the toll of the pandemic in those early months of being open and unbelievable never-ending delays from the city drained us of tens of thousands of dollars that we were going to put towards getting our liquor license which would help our bottom line greatly, so we can stay open.

So we are asking for your help.

We are using these Go Fund Me funds to move to a new, more sustainable location that has the licenses we need to serve you all delicious alcoholic beverages, and to cover other business expenses. We have and will not stop to work tirelessly to bring in events and larger gigs to help pay for this substantial expense.

There are a few different ways to help support this goal and we're grateful for anything you can offer -

1. Donate and or share this fundraiser!

2. Come eat at the restaurant and bring your friends

3. Buy a Gift Card for Friends, Family, and or Co-Workers

4. Support the drag community by coming to one of our brunches or other events.

5. Put on an event here or hire us for catering.
