Just months ago, Alex and his wife, Angie, were living the life they had always dreamed of.

On November 2, 2024, they promised to spend the rest of their lives together, excited for the future they would build as husband and wife.

Just over a year later, on January 19, 2026, they welcomed their first child, Daniela, into the world. Their hearts were full as they embraced the joy, exhaustion, and love that come with becoming first-time parents.

Then, their world was turned upside down.

Alex's wife was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer.

Instead of spending these precious months simply enjoying life with their newborn daughter, they are now consumed by doctors' appointments, scans, treatments, and the uncertainty that accompanies such a devastating diagnosis.

What makes this story even more heartbreaking is that Alex's wife has dedicated her own life to caring for others. As a Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, she has spent countless days and nights comforting frightened children, supporting anxious parents, and providing compassionate care to families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

She has been the person families leaned on when they needed hope.

Now, she is the one who needs ours.

While she courageously fights this battle, she is also trying to cherish every smile, every cuddle, and every milestone with baby Daniela. Alex is doing everything he can to be the husband and father his family needs while standing beside the woman he loves through the fight of her life.

No newlywed couple should have to face this.

No new mother should have to battle Stage IV cancer while caring for her infant daughter.

No family should have to choose between spending precious time together and worrying about mounting medical bills.

Detective Alex Falcon has dedicated his career to protecting and serving our community. His wife has dedicated hers to caring for our community's children. Together, they have spent their lives helping others.
