My name is Destiny, and I’m creating this for my mom. My mom has battled type 2 diabetes since 2005. The illness has caused her to lose toes through out the years. My mom has fought infection after infection, and recently they amputated above the ankle. My mom could really use some help and get the scooter that is pictured above, until doctors are able to get her fitted for a prosthetic, which could take about six more months.

My mom is so strong. She has learned how to hop around with her walker, and can get many places with her wheelchair, but she really needs this scooter. It would make her days so much easier. My dad works, and my sister lives with my parents. She’s helping my parents raise my 2 year old nephew. This scooter would make everyone’s day easier. My mom would be able to enjoy more things, and more outing if she had a scooter like this.

My parents don’t ask for anything, ever. But they are the first to take in a child, first to give the shirt off their backs, first to make sure everyone around them is ok, even if that means they go without.
