My name is Destiny, and I’m reaching out because my family is facing an incredibly difficult time. Just recently, a fire broke out in our apartment, forcing us to leave everything behind. My 3-year-old daughter has been deeply affected—she’s now afraid to sleep alone, wakes up crying about the fire, and has regressed in her potty training. I also have a newborn baby who just turned two months old. I worked so hard to create a safe home for my children, but now we’re left with nowhere to go and will be sleeping in our car until we can find shelter or be rehoused.

The fire not only took away our home, but also damaged most of our belongings. Our clothes and essentials were ruined by smoke and fire, and we have nothing left for the kids. The funds raised will help us pay for the damages, secure a new apartment, and provide clothing and basic needs for my children. It will also help us afford temporary housing or a hotel, so my kids and I can stay warm and safe while we wait for a more permanent solution.
