Help Destiny Study Abroad in Ghana

Hi everyone!

My name is Destiny Smith. I am a first generation Black student at Smith College. Currently, I am senior and will be graduating in May. I am majoring in Sociology and minoring in Africana Studies. I have been accepted into the CIEE Study Abroad Program to take a course for three weeks in Ghana during January of 2024. During these three weeks, I will be taking a class about Culture and Reproductive Health in Ghana.

As a first generation Black college student, I want to take advantage of all of the opportunities I am fortunate to have in college, study abroad being one of them! Unfortunately due to the lack of funding that I have received for the program through potential grants/scholarships, I won't be able to cover the cost on my own. Any amount of money and/or support towards my academic endeavour is greatly appreciated!
