Hi everyone. My name is Destiny Downey and i am raising money to help cover my hospital bills from an incident that took place September 9, 2020. I was driving home from my internship when a couple in a white vehicle tried to run me off the road for no apparent reason, and eventually they shot me before fleeing. They were never caught. I sustained a gun shot wound through my back, which exited my chest. The bullet punctured my lung, which later collapsed and I ended up needing surgery for that. After a one month stay in the hospital, I managed to rack up $89,000 in medical bills. I was working full-time prior to covid, and had just lost my employers insurance a couple months before the incident. I have now finished school and am in the process of attaining the remaining credentials to be a Registered Dental Assistant. I am currently unemployed. I am in need of help.
