Help Destiny, Kaylee & Crystal Attend FCCLA NLC!

We are thrilled to announce that Destiny Salazar, Kaylee Fromm, and Crystal Hollingshead placed second in the state competition! This achievement has earned them the opportunity to refine their presentation and materials and re-present their project at the FCCLA National Convention in Orlando, Florida.

FCCLA represents “Family, Career, and Community Leadership of America.” Our students selected Public Policy Advocate as their focus area and presented over gun violence. Our Superintendent, Adam Newman, arranged for the girls to meet with Senator Warren Hamilton and Representative Jim Greggo to discuss House Bill 2903, which focuses on funding for School Resource Officers. The girls also had the opportunity to present their knowledge on the many aspects that affect gun violence and sit in on a session where bills were being voted on. This opportunity prepared the girls to lead with confidence and an abundance of knowledge.

We are immensely proud of their accomplishments, hard work, and dedication to their project!

The trip will take place on July 5-9, 2025. The total cost for the trip is approximately $15,000. These young ladies are working hard to raise funds, but we are still in need of additional support to ensure that these ladies have the opportunity to attend. Your contribution would make a significant impact on our students’ educational journey and future success. Any amount you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
