On our way to Taft, California for grocery shopping, we spotted a small puppy in the middle of the road, clearly in danger of being hit by a car. We pulled over, called to her, and she came right to us—so trusting and sweet, even though she was clearly hungry and scared. We named her Destiny, feeling that it was meant to be that she found us that day. As we checked her over, we noticed a lump in her groin area, which made us worry about her health. We gave her some food, and she quickly became part of our family, joining us on our errands and then coming home with us.

We want to give Destiny the best chance at a happy, healthy life, but we are not sure yet what kind of medical care she will need. We have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow to find out more. Unfortunately, we are not able to cover her medical expenses on our own, and we want to make sure she gets the treatment she deserves.

God placed her in our care knowing how much we love our pets. We appreciate any support you can provide—thank you and God bless.
