Desta's Dream is coming true!

Hi, my name is Beth and 10 years ago I met Desta at her orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.Never in my wildest dreams did I think she would be here in the states! Through joint efforts, advocates, and Desta's hard work, she applied to Cornerstone University, got accepted with a scholarship, passed VISA approval, and made it to Grand Rapids, Michigan!

 

We helped get Desta Gemechu to Cornerstone University, but we need everyone's help to keep her in college. She came with some financial commitments to help and was gifted a computer. She is carrying a full load, majoring in nursing and working in the the dining hall. She needs immediate funds by end of January Cornerstone University to finish out her first year. Anything you can give HELPS!

NEW UPDATE!!!!  The school just acknowledged a "missed scholarship " from Desta having a 4.0 her first semester! $2000!!!!!  Another large commitment came through and we ARE $1600.00 AWAY FROM BLESSING THIS WONDERFUL YOUNG LADY!!

Overjoyed to be a part of this journey. Desta can focus on her school work because the worry of tuition is GONE!!
