Hi, my name is Desmond Hayes. I'm a senior at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm creating this GoFundMe to help support my senior thesis, "The Quiet Breeze of a Tumbleweed." The story follows Ramona and Dylan as they are on the run from a botched heist. As they drive through the empty land, their truck breaks down, forcing them to hitchhike with a strange old man. The reason I want to make this film is that, ever since I came to New Mexico, I have wanted to make a story that shows my appreciation for the beauty of the expansive horizons that surround my school, and to tell a story that invokes the nature of the Southwest into a modern tale of an intense thriller. Your support will help us cover production costs, including payment for casts, equipment rentals, permits, set design, transportation, and festival submissions, ensuring we can bring this story to life at the highest level possible.
