Desiree Chamberlain, loving wife of my friend Hawaiian born and raised former Marine Sergeant Scotty Chamberlain, urgently needs surgery & treatment for a very aggressive breast cancer. She was diagnosed with INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA (IDC) GRADE III, HR+ BREAST CANCER, and fast growing. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY GO FUND ME. She has been back and forth to the ER as her red blood cell count is critically low, and she needs infusions and cancer treatments immediately. Because of Desiree’s other auto immune issues, she needs a special treatment called Brachy therapy which also is not covered by her insurance coverage. Scotty is a true hero, Hawaiian by blood, joined the Marines in 1998, married Desiree 3 months later, and then later deployed to Iraq to fight the war on terror. His military service ended 5 years later due to injury. The insurance for spouses and families of our Veteran Heroes like Scotty is grossly minimal if they did not serve a full 20 years. This is infuriating & tragic. Now, Desiree, his wife is fighting for her life and they simply cannot afford the surgery and treatments that are needed to save her. This should NOT be happening to the wife & family of one of our heroes who served our country in battle for 5 years! They already have multiple medical bills that have not been covered.

Desiree has had some treatments to shrink the malignant tumor, and some hormonal treatments and they have been unsuccessful. This fundraiser will urgently help with all things related to her fight against Breast Cancer not covered by insurance which includes but not limited to advanced intensive therapies, immunotherapy, multiple surgeries, brachy therapy, conventional treatments, dietician, nutritional support, holistic treatments and functional medicine oncology doctors. The effective treatments are very costly which will add up in the upwards of 250k and are NOT covered by insurance. This is again, an EMERGENCY GO FUND ME as the Chamberlains are running out of time.

Desiree is an incredible wife and mother. She has spent her life helping others now it’s her turn to be helped. They have a 11-year-old daughter who home schools. Scotty is the main provider, and he will need to take care of both of them as Desiree goes through this entire process and recovery.
