I am raising funds for myself and my family because we are currently homeless. Since 2024, we have not had our own home and have been living out of our vehicle and now a small camper on a friend’s property. Not all of my children are able to be with me, and they cannot return until we have a stable place to live. Losing my youngest son to suicide in 2022 due to bullying was devastating, and since then, life has been incredibly difficult. After his death, I separated from his father because of domestic violence, which led to an eviction. My ex was the breadwinner, and I relied on a small SSI check, but now I am employed as an LNA and know I can afford rent. However, I am struggling to save enough money to hand to a landlord for a deposit and first month’s rent.

Having our own home would mean so much to my family. It would help us reunite, improve our mental health, and give us the stability we desperately need. Living in a camper is especially hard during the winter, and we honestly deserve to have our own home. The state has not been able to help much, and homes are hard to come by. I do not qualify for any state or town assistance because I work full time. I applied for help last year when I found an apartment and was denied. I also have good landlord references, except for the one who evicted me. If I can raise enough funds to secure an apartment or trailer, it would change everything for us. Landlords may be more willing to rent to us if I can show them I have the funds ready, rather than waiting on town assistance, which is uncertain even though I work full-time.

Please help me and my family raise the money we need to get an apartment or trailer. We have gone through enough in the past few years, and now we need a break. Having a home would improve so many aspects of our lives. Any support you can give would mean the world to us.
