Help Desiree in this time of recovery

Some of you may already be aware of the tragic events that unfolded for my cousin this week, while others might not. What you're about to read is graphic. On Wednesday, she became a victim of domestic violence, an experience that was completely unexpected as this man had never harmed her before. In a devastating moment, he caused her severe injuries, leaving her in a critical state. Thankfully, her neighbors found her as he left her beat to a bloody pulp in her front yard, she was then rushed to Hanford. Once there Adventist health put her in a medically induced coma and she was air lifted and transferred to Fresno for more intensive care. It was found that her liver was lacerated, her head was stapled in several areas, a blood transfusion was needed, and her whole entire body has bruises and bite marks all over it. He beat her with a frying pan until it broke before he started using his fists and feet. To illustrate the gravity of the situation, when I went to clean her home in preparation for her return, it resembled a crime scene and was even listed as such in the report. The aftermath was truly harrowing and will be forever etched into my mind as I scrubbed for hours trying to lift up as much as possible.

Desiree's financial circumstances have drastically changed due to this incident and she is still in the critical unit. Not only has her income went to half but she will be having to take an extended time off of work. We are reaching out for support. We faced challenges while trying to clean her carpets, as we were unable to remove all the blood despite hours of scrubbing, and now we need to replace them, which is quite costly. Her home is old and needs a few repairs as is it would just be such a blessing to bless her with new carpet which was quoted at 2500 to replace. Additionally, her heater has broke and her shower is also busted up. We are seeking a reliable electric heater for her living room to ensure she stays warm and comfortable during her recovery.

This is a time where even if people/friends don't have the funds maybe there are others services they could help with yard clean up, a heater, fix her shower, etc.

We are just trying to help bless her and help on her physical and mental journey of recovery. He has finally been caught which helps give a little relief.

I know these pictures are truly graphic but I just wanted to bring light to the severity of the situation. I didn't get pictures of everything my heart is broken for my cousin. No one should be subjected to this, it is absolutely horrific.
