Hello all!

My name is Danielle, Unfortunately  my sister  Desiree has fallen on some very hard times, last week just before her 12 year old daughter starts School. Desiree ended up getting very ill and had went to Northfield Hospital to be seen, then Desiree needed to be transferred to Abbott NorthWestern Hospital where they did some scans and xrays and they found an absess ruptured in the sigmoid colon which required her to have emergency surgery. As well as she will have to go back in and have another surgery due to the same medical reason. She will also be out of work for atleast 2 months if not more as she is recovering from her surgery, She is one that doesn’t ask for help, and tries to do everything on her own but with all of the medical expenses piling up for her and trying to pay all of the bills , especially as she can not work until she is recovered. Update from Ashley her other sister! Hello Friends and Family, I wanted to give an update on my sister, Desiree. This past week she had to go through one of the biggest challenges of her life after going into the ER for stomach pain. What she thought was an easy fix ended up with emergency surgery on her colon and a rerouted digestive track. Due to the severity of the situation I spent most of my week with her in the Abbott hospital. Staying close, advocating for her and helping her when she had to face her fear of needles and the pain from medications she was given. Thankfully since Desi is young, this temporary but difficult change in her life will be reversed in about 6 months. Through everything she's taking this like a champ. As of yesterday she is home resting and recovering after a successful surgery. There will be follow up appointments and another surgery to reconnect her colon back together in 6 months. Our family has come together to help Desi during this time but unfortunately we need extra help if we can get it. Desiree is the sole provider in her home right now and with 2 months of doctor recommended healing time, she is worried about rent and daily expenses. If able, please help us ease her worries and get her rent paid for the next 2 months, at about 2k. If you are unable to help at this time, please share her story. As a hardworking single mother, she's not used to asking for help and is usually too proud to do so. So I am asking for her. Please help my sister rest and recover without worry.
