Help Desert Dogs Homestead Build More Kennels
Donation protected
Hi Friends,
We're fundraising to help Desert Dog Homestead, a nonprofit dog rescue, build more kennels on their property in Landers- near the Yucca Valley- so that they can house and train dogs dumped in the desert. Each kennel is air conditioned and also has heat (it is in the desert after all). Each kennel costs approximately $1,000 for the materials. Thankfully, the rescue is saving money on labor since the owner, Mike, is building the kennels himself. He has two constructed currently, which we are attaching photos of so that you can see what the kennels look like. There are so few resources in the desert for dumped dogs so this is sorely needed.
Desert Dog Homestead is a rescue founded by owner, Mike Janes, in early 2023. Mike diligently put away savings for many years while working in the tech industry in order to fulfill his dream of moving from Orange County to the desert to rescue dogs in need. Like all rescues, they need donations to see their vision to completion. Can you help?
