Help DeSean Fight a Rare and Aggressive Leukemia
On June 28th, DeSean was hospitalized with a blood clot in his lung. On July 4th, after multiple tests and biopsies, he was diagnosed with Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL). MPAL is a rare and aggressive form of leukemia that required him to spend 33 days in the hospital for immediate intensive treatment of five different chemotherapies daily.
His mother, who is a single mother of 4, has been by his side through this entire journey. She is still trying to work (when able) and still be there for her other 3 children as well. DeSean has always been a rock for his family, the oldest and only boy of his siblings. He is a true example of love, generosity, and selflessness. He has always been there for others without ever asking for anything in return, and now it’s our turn to be there for him. His treatment will require isolation and time away from work, leaving him unable to do what he does best: care for others.
We’ve created this fund to ease the financial burden on his family so that they can focus on his healing. All donations will go toward residual medical bills not covered by insurance, traveling, lodging, meals, and anything unforeseen that may come due to his illness.
If you are unable to give financially, simply sharing this page and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers will help immensely!
