Help Des buy a new ankle!

A few weeks ago, our dear & awesome friend Deserae broke her ankle in 3 places - just after her workplace cancelled her health insurance. After surgery, Des has a slowly-healing ankle, a firm no-walking rule, and a hospital bill for almost $30,000.

Apparently ankles are expensive.

Because she can't walk, Des also has to take time off work, creating even more financial pressure for herself and her lovely partner, Alex.

I'm Kelly, a friend of Des & Alex and witness to the ankle breaking, which was a really terrible experience for both of them. The pain is bad enough - being saddled with debt for years to come is just as awful. Please help me raise funds for these wonderful people to take some of the stress off as Des gets back on her feet (literally).
