My name is Derrick and I am an avid dog lover. I am reaching out to all dog lovers or anyone else with a caring heart to raise money for my fur babies. I was not sure about doing this, very hesitant, or embarrassed. But, figured at this point I have nothing to lose, so give it a try and hope it reaches some kind-hearted and generous people.

Due to some serious health issues, I lost my job and not sure when I will be able to go back to a full-time job. I loved my job and hope to get back to it, but not sure when that may happen, so just trying to take some of the stress and anxiety off. Especially with what I have going on. It’s rough trying to pay bills when I am the only one doing it and helping take care of my two granddaughters. I did not plan on anything like this happening right here at the holiday season, but some things are out of our control.

But, the main reason for this GoFundMe is for dog kennels that I have been working on for some real awesome dogs. Hoping I do not lose the progress I have made to this point or not be able to finish the kennels. Several of my babies are rescues and I plan on helping a couple more when done, since I will have two extra kennel stalls. That is as long as I can finish.

It is going to be a nice forever home for all of them. Some have said that I have gone a little overboard, but I don’t think so. Plus, it wouldn’t be a big deal if I was still working, so just trying to get help until things turn around. Here are a few examples of what I had to finance and owe:

Building—$9,225.00

Kennels (which are Gator kennels)—$7,725.00

Heat, A/C, flooring—$8,345.00

Estimate to finish outside concrete and all the fencing—$14,775.00

Total of $40,070.00, not counting daily interest.

All money donated will be so, so greatly appreciated and will go strictly for finishing the kennels, payments on what is financed so I cannot lose anything, and if any left then will be used for medicines and dog food.
