Help Derrick and Family Through Medical Crisis

Friends and family,

I hate doing this, but our family needs help. My husband Derrick has been in ICU for two weeks due to getting the flu, compounded by pneumonia. His lungs are very damaged, inflamed, have blood clots, and he is currently on machines that are keeping him alive while his lungs heal, God willing (feel free to call me for more details if you want the medical scoop). If he makes it, it will be a long recovery. Meanwhile, neither of us are working now (we both have jobs, but we are not getting paid. I’m out of PTO, and he is a contractor). I have been at the hospital pretty much 24/7. Honestly, we weren’t prepared for a crisis like this, and we have bills to pay, food, gas, you know… etc. etc. It’s not only us, but we have our teenage son and daughter to support.

I know God has a plan and will pull us through, but I have to swallow my pride and make it known that we need help. So, if you are able, please help me to ensure we can make it financially during this time.

Derrick may wake up and hate that I have done this, but I have to take care of us.
