Help Derrick (and Amy) Williams fight stage 4 cancer!

The ladies of #HAIRbar are rallying together to support our beloved friend and coworker, Amy Martin's husband, Derrick Williams. Derrick is battling a rare and aggressive form of stage 4 Ureter Cancer.

Derrick received this devastating diagnosis on February 1, 2024, and since then, he has bravely embarked on a challenging treatment journey. The doctors have outlined an intensive plan that includes weekly chemotherapy sessions, followed by surgery to remove his kidney and ureter. Even after surgery, Derrick will face additional rounds of chemotherapy to combat this relentless disease.

In pursuit of the best possible care, Derrick has been referred to MD Anderson for further research and specialized treatment options. While we believe MD Anderson is the right fit for Derrick to beat this aggressive cancer, unfortunately it is an out-of-network provider. Derrick cannot face this battle alone. Your generous contributions will help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses, travel costs, and other unforeseen challenges that arise during this difficult time.

As he fights this battle, he draws strength from the unwavering support of his loving wife, Amy, with whom he shares a beautiful 21-year marriage. Their journey began as high school sweethearts at the age of 15, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years. They have one daughter, Ella Grace Williams, who is also a stylist at #HAIRbar with her mother, Amy.
