Help Derrian Dease and Family

Derrian is a super sweet 11 year old boy who is the light of pretty much everyone’s life. He’s silly, kind, smart, loves wrestling and his mom, dad, and big brother. Derrian has sickle cell, and had had many hospitalizations in the past for various issues. He has avascular necrosis of his hip, and suffers frequent pain crises. Derrian entered the hospital on Thanksgiving with what everyone assumed was a regular pain crisis, but which has now evolved into much more. Derrian has experienced rapid decompensation - he has suffered serious respiratory damage after a COVID diagnosis and battle with pneumonia. He has only one functioning lung currently, and it is only functioning at about 15%. Because of this, Derrian is now ventilator dependent and has been told he will most likely need a lung transplant. His family is having to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio, which is one of only a few children’s hospitals in the country who can perform the transplant. Derrian has been in the hospital since November, and very likely will not be discharged anytime soon. 

Funds are needed for a variety of things and will be used to make sure Derrian’s familycan stay close to him during this time of need.
