I recently lost my father 3 months ago, he was the sole provider for my college expenses , and my family has suffered a huge loss financially after his passing. My mom was unable to be approved for loans (Parent Plus, bank loans, Sallie Mae) due to the strain on her credit that happened while she took care of my father in the sick times. She is also doing the best she can while suffering from emotional stress due to losing her husband of 22 years. Seeing what my father went through makes me want to push even harder to become a doctor. I want to become the first neurosurgeon in my family. I am doing this not only for me but for my dad. He fought many years with Kidney disease.
