Help Derek in His Heart Attack & Brain Damage Recovery

On June 7, 2025, our beloved Derek Meduri, just 33 years old, a devoted husband, and proud father of his newborn son Cole, suffered a massive heart attack while visiting New Jersey. Derek went into cardiac arrest and was without a pulse for nearly 30 minutes. Against all odds, the incredible medical team was able to revive him and clear the blockage that nearly took his life.

Since then, Derek has been in critical care, initially relying on a ventilator for a week before receiving a tracheostomy. An MRI revealed signs of mild brain damage, but over the past two weeks, Derek has shown remarkable signs of improvement, giving his family and doctors renewed hope for his recovery.

Derek's journey is far from over. He will soon be transported back home to Columbus, Ohio to begin the next phase of his fight: intensive rehabilitation and long-term treatment. Though the road ahead is expected to be long, Derek’s strength and the outpouring of love from family, friends, and the medical team give us hope.
