Help Derek Get a new battery for his powerchair

Let’s Help Derek go the extra distance in his wheelchair!

His wheelchair has been a life changer for him. He loves it he has been able to get out everyday the weather allows.

But the batteries that come in all wheelchairs only last him about a half a day when he's out riding then he has to come home and charge it for hours. Leaving him stuck inside on the charger for the other half of the day.

So Derek said he has decided to build his own battery using lithium lifepo4 cells. With this battery he can go 60 to 70 miles on one charge and it will last 10+ years. The lead batteries that come in all wheelchairs only go for around 8 to 12 miles and only last about 2 years.

But the parts he needs to build the battery are expensive. More than he can afford on his own.
