Hello, my name is Felix and I'm starting this GoFundMe to help my brother Dereck and his girlfriend Madeline. On July 3rd, around 10PM, Dereck and his girlfriend were on his motorcycle riding back home from a date night. Tragedy struck when a drunk driver hit them from behind, causing them to be ejected from the motorcycle and suffer severe bodily injury. Fortunately, the drunk driver, who tried to flee the scene, was caught by police and is in jail.

Dereck and Madeline both suffered fractures in their spine, severe road burn, and muscular damage. This, of course, will prevent them from being able to work for the next couple of months as they need time to heal through rest and physical therapy. As you know, medical bills in the US can get really expensive. This GoFundMe will help them pay bills like rent, utilities, and any upfront medical costs until the civil case is settled, which could take many months and up to a year.
