The bailiff in my court is Deputy Campos. She secures the courtroom and ensures the public's safety daily. Yesterday, she took the day off. So, as is the judge's habit whenever anyone takes a day, he acted like he didn't know her when she returned to work. He asked Deputy Campos if she was an overtime Deputy who was just with us for the day. She stated that she had a great excuse for missing work yesterday: her house burned in an electrical fire.
