OUR LITTLE DEOGIE IS STRUGGLING AND NEEDS HELP PLS

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Two weeks ago my uncle rescued a 1 year old Vizsla mix from the Riverside Animal Shelter. He was severely malnourished and scared out of his mind. The shelter thinks he may have been abused and abandon by his previous owners. The pup and my uncle had an immediate connection as soon as they met. It was like it was meant to be! You see, about 2 years ago my uncle lost his first Vizsla to cancer, which completely devastated him. However, he felt he was now ready to let another dog into his life. He knew this young pup was the one, and he needed this pup as much as the pup needed him, so he adopted him. Well, a few days back, he took him to his vet for a check-up as he noticed somerthing wasn't right. His vet informed him that the pup, now named Deogie, had a fractured hip and a severe diaphragm hernia and would need surgery ASAP! Unfortunately, his hip fracture is already starting to heal, though not correctly, the hernia is the surgery that is URGENT. Based on his injuries the vet thinks he may have been hit by a car while he was on the streets. Basically his insides were pushed up into his chest cavity, putting pressure on his heart, now making it extremely difficult to breathe. If he doesn't have the hernia surgery his life expectancy is grim, however if he does, his prognosis is very good!
Obviously, this news devastated my uncle. The shelter told him Deogie was medically sound which was not true, He knows if he takes Deogie back to the shelter, they will surely euthanize him, and he can't stand the thought of that so he is doing everything he can to raise the funds for Deogie's surgery that he needs to survive.

I am helping my uncle run this campaign as he is not physically/mentally able to do it himself. He recently underwent brain surgery along with two rounds of chemo and radiation, so his health is not great. Having Deogie for the last few weeks has really boosted his spirits and loves having his boy by his side! It would be crushing for him to lose Deogie now as he needs his emotional support dog.

If you can find it in your hearts to donate to Deogie's surgery, my uncle and my family would be forever grateful.
God Bless you.
