The symptoms got worse He couldn’t really move so I took him to the doctor on February 21 and he was diagnosed with the flu. After I left the doctor, I took her to the emergency room where they did two flu test that both came out negative. Then they want to do a spinal tap and after testing the spinal fluid day believed he had Rat Lung Worm disease. At this point, Denzel couldn’t move at all or eat and drink. me and Denzel stayed at Hilo hospital for two days until they told us that we had to fly to Kapiolani children’s and women’s Hospital in Oahu. Once we got Kapiʻolani Hospital, the infectious disease doctors gave Denzel steroids for the brain inflammation and albendazole secure worms inside his brain and spin. we’ve been in the hospital for a month and a half and he has made some physical progress.
