Hi, my name is Maria lu and I am fundraising for my dearest friend Arturo whom I met a long time ago. He came as a minority to the United States from Panama and due to his circumstances, his parents unfortunately had to split and he was all by himself in the United States, he was unable to get the citizenship he deserved after living here for over 30 years. Dispite all these circumstances he was a young healthy man who did a little bit of everything, until a couple years ago when he was diagnosed with osteoporosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetes. Due to this, his life was restrained into living in a box with 4 walls and with his fingers and hands all clenched up unable to feel or move freely. He has been hospitalized for weeks in the past few years until this morning when god let him into heaven, December 20th, 2023. Luckily I was able to assist him in the last few years, since he hasn’t seen his mother and sister in decades, he wished to not burden them until the last moment. They expressed their sorrow but was unable to assist any further than that, which is why I am coming to you guys for help as a last resort.

Please help us give my dear friend Arturo, who is someone’s son, someone’s brother, and someone’s best friend, his last departure from the earth. We wish to help his mother and sister, whom is his last remaining family, to not have any regrets in regards to Arturo Sam Pen. 1967-2023

On the behalf of me, my son, Arturo’s family and friends we all greatly appreciate everything you have donated to help our dear friend Arturo. We have officially met the goal, I did not expect to receive this many donations and the extra money will be sent to the family in Canada, we strongly believe this is what Arturo would have wanted. He holds his family, his mom and sisters, very close to his heart and didn’t want to burden them with his financial issues. After consulting about it, we strong believe that we should pass the favor down and help Arturo rest peacefully and send the extra money to his family.
