"Değerli dostlarım, Deniz'in ailesi inanılmaz derecede zorlu bir süreçle karşı karşıya. Onların sevgili 12 yaşındaki oğulları Deniz'e, ilerleyici kas güçsüzlüğüne neden olan yıkıcı bir genetik hastalık olan Duchenne Musküler Distrofi (DMD) teşhisi konuldu.

DMD acımasız bir hastalık, ancak umut var. Elevidys adlı çığır açan bir tedavi, bu hastalığın ilerlemesini yavaşlatma ve Deniz'in yaşam kalitesini artırma potansiyeli sunuyor. Ancak bu tedavinin Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'ndeki maliyeti dudak uçuklatan 3 milyon dolar.
