Hello everyone, my name is Zehra, and I’m raising funds for my cat Deniz.

A few days ago, I noticed something was wrong. Deniz kept going in and out of his litter box, staying there for long minutes but barely producing any urine. He looked uncomfortable and kept licking himself. As time passed, he became more nervous, and his symptoms got worse.

I rushed him to the vet around midnight. Thankfully, they told me I brought him just in time. He received an ultrasound and a full check-up, and they sent us home with antibiotics and pain medication. But once we got home, he still couldn’t pee properly.

By the next morning, his condition had worsened. He was meowing in pain and still unable to urinate, so I took him back to the vet right away. As you may know, vet care in Canada is extremely expensive, but when it’s your pet, you have no choice but to do everything you can to help.

This time, they repeated the tests, gave him sedation, and tried to help him relieve his bladder. When that didn’t work, they discovered he had mucus and blockage in his urinary tract. They had to place a catheter, run bloodwork, perform X-rays, and keep him at the clinic for monitoring. He ended up staying two nights at the vet so they could make sure he was stable, safe, and able to pee on his own again.

Thankfully, Deniz is now home and recovering. He’s on a prescription urinary diet (Royal Canin Urinary SO), and I’m doing everything I can to prevent this from happening again.

This is the total amount I had to pay for his treatment $3,938.68.

Actually I was looking for some insurance companies to get it done for my cat but this happened I’m gonna do it as soon as possible.

Birkaç gün önce Deniz’in bir garipliği olduğunu fark ettim. Sürekli kum kabına girip çıkıyordu, uzun süre oturuyor ama neredeyse hiç çiş yapamıyordu. Çok huzursuz görünüyordu ve kendini sürekli yalıyordu. Zaman geçtikçe daha da kötüleşti ve çok tedirgin oldu.

Gece yarısına doğru hemen veterinere koştum. Neyse ki tam zamanında getirdiğimi söylediler. Ultrason ve detaylı bir muayene yapıldı, bize antibiyotik ve ağrı kesici verip eve gönderdiler. Fakat eve döndüğümüzde hâlâ düzgün şekilde çiş yapamıyordu.

Sabah olduğunda durumu daha da kötüleşti. Miyavlıyor, acı çekiyor ve hâlâ idrar yapamıyordu. Hemen tekrar veterinere götürdüm. Bildiğiniz gibi Kanada’da veteriner maliyetleri çok yüksek, ancak söz konusu olan canımızdaki bir can olunca insan elinden geleni yapmak zorunda kalıyor.

Bu kez tekrar ultrason ve testler yapıldı, sakinleştirici verildi ve mesanesini rahatlatmaya çalıştılar. Ama sonuç vermeyince idrar yolunda tıkanmaya sebep olan mukus ve benzeri maddeler olduğunu fark ettiler. Kateter takılması gerekti, kan tahlilleri ve röntgenler çekildi. Kendi kendine çiş yapabilene kadar, iki gece klinikte kalması gerekti.

Şükür ki Deniz artık evde ve iyileşme sürecinde. Şu anda özel bir idrar yolu maması (Royal Canin Urinary SO) kullanıyoruz ve tekrar yaşamaması için elimden geleni yapıyorum.

Sigorta için araştırırken de başımıza bu geldi, en kısa sürede yaptırıcam. Bu süreçte ödediğim toplam tutar oldukça yüksekti $3,938.68.
