Help Denise with her young son's sudden illness!

We reached the original goal of $5K thanks to the generosity of so many people. Denise and her family greatly appreciate the donations, the prayers, kind words, and offers of support.
When this fundraiser began, Jaden was still in the hospital undergoing testing. He is back home and they are still searching for answers and relief. He is unable to attend school due to his illness and Denise is unable to work at this time because Jaden needs care. I have changed the amount for the goal at this time because it is now evident that their family will need even more help.

Hi, my name is Cheryl Russell and I'm fundraising to help Denise Milne raise funds for very sudden and unexpected medical expenses and help ease some of her burdens while she continues to advocate and care for her young son in the hospital.
Denise's 10-year-old son was recently admitted to Shands for some concerning symptoms. About 2 months ago, Jaden started complaining of pain throughout his body. He then quickly began to physically decline. He is no longer able to walk and is now reliant on a wheelchair.
They found inflammation behind his eyes and an MRI of his lumbar spine showed inflammation in some nerves leading to his left leg. He’s currently in the PICU and is in a medically induced coma.
A spinal tap was done and revealed abnormally high pressure of the fluid in his spine and his cranial pressure. They removed spinal fluid to reduce his pressure levels. The cause of the pressure and of his physical decline is still undetermined. They are still searching for a cause and to give a proper diagnosis so any needed medical treatment can begin.
