My name is Denise, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my small family of three. My husband has been detained in ICE custody since November 15th, 2025, and our lives have been turned upside down in every possible way.

Since the day he was taken, he has lost a noticeable amount of weight, fallen into depression, and started to lose hope. He has even talked about self-deporting because he feels there is no path forward without legal help. It breaks my heart to hear him so hopeless, because with the right immigration attorney, he does have a chance — but the financial burden is more than I can shoulder alone.

We also have a beautiful 8-month-old baby girl, and since his detention I have been struggling financially and emotionally. With no one to help watch her, it has been nearly impossible for me to work steady hours. I’ve been trying to sell personal items — even my husband’s car — just to keep us afloat and save anything I can for legal fees. But immigration attorneys are expensive, and despite everything I’ve tried, I simply can’t raise enough on my own.

These funds will go directly toward hiring an immigration attorney who can represent my husband, fight for his release, and give our family a chance to be reunited. He is a loving father, a devoted husband, and the foundation of our home. Our daughter deserves to grow up with her dad, not just hear his voice through brief, painful phone calls.
