Help Denise Perrier create a legacy CD
We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend vocalist Denise Perrier because we know she would never make this request on her own: She is entirely too proud and independent. As you may have heard, Denise is struggling with some health challenges. Specifically, she has congestive heart failure that will eventually affect her lung function. It is Denise’s deepest desire to create a legacy CD while her lungs are strong enough. Of most importance to her is to set to music a poem written by her late sister Joyce Jackson and memorialize it – and her sister – with this CD.
The first recording session is coming up within the next two weeks. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign in order to pay for studio time, audio engineers and mixers and masters, as well as the musicians who will perform with Denise on the CD. And then there are production costs and expenses to obtain legal rights to record some of the selections.
A special thanks to Angela Lilley Bennett for this photograph of Denise. And, we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and for responding quickly to this appeal. We hope to have a CD and a CD release party with Denise by the end of the summer – if not before. Your support means more than you will ever know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
