UPDATE: We were unable to raise the funds needed to help Denise for more than a couple of months. So, she is forced to move out of her apartment and in with her sister and sister-in-law. We need to raise about $1,000 in moving expenses.

Denise is a 59-year-old disabled woman who lives on her own with no income besides SNAP benefits. She is an applicant for Social Security Disability Insurance but her case has dragged on for more than two years without reaching a resolution. Currently, she is having her rent and monthly bills paid by her mother and sister. She is seeking mutual aid to ease the burden on family members, and can live independently for a year on the amount we are trying to raise. Her rent is $600 monthly, and her expenses include her phone, Internet, and electric bills, plus food.

Please help us to help Denise live independently while she waits for her SSDI hearing to come through!
