Denise Briggs is a force of nature.  She is full of life, beauty, and curiosity and I am proud to call her my dearest friend. Denise is a front line respiratory therapist, a mother, daughter, and sister.  In April 2020 she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer with extensive lymph node involvement. She was looking at 24wks of high dose chemo, a double mastectomy, radiation, and possibly more chemo to fight this horrible cancer. Everyone who loves Denise was blown away and completely heart sick. We couldn't hug or comfort our dear friend and felt completely helpless. Denise has been living and working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for 9 years. She has devoted her life to caring for the sickest children there.  Although it was terrifying and difficult to leave her family, friends, and adult children at home, she knew that with her skills and experience, she could help meet the need for healthcare providers in SA. Denise can receive treatment in Saudi Arabia but is unable to work due her compromised immune system. She is stranded abroad and facing the choice of continuing treatment, but losing the only home she has to return too, or paying for treatment in the US out of pocket.  Denise has made it her life's work to help other people, now she needs our help.
