Help Denise Honor Drea and Levi with Headstones

We are writing on behalf of our dear friend, Denise Jones, a loving mother who has endured the unthinkable—the loss of two of her children to pneumonia.

Drea Renee Jones

Denise’s daughter, Drea Renee, was born on April 1st, 2018, weighing just 6 pounds. She was a surprise baby, tiny but perfect, and she came into the world surrounded by love from her mom and her big sisters, April and Mya Smith.

Only a month later, on May 5th, Drea passed away from bronchial pneumonia. Her life was heartbreakingly short, but her memory has lived on in her family’s hearts for years.

Levi Thomas Jones

Years later, Denise gave birth to her son, Levi Thomas, on July 29th, 2024. He was a healthy baby, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 19 inches long. For seven beautiful months, Levi filled Denise’s world with light and joy.

Then, on March 5th, Denise received the call no parent ever wants to hear: Levi had gone limp at daycare. She rushed him to Saint John’s hospital, where doctors discovered he had developed viral pneumonia. Despite every effort, Levi passed away.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Denise is still grieving, and one of the hardest parts has been not having a proper resting place for her children. Right now, Drea has no headstone at all, and Levi only has a temporary one.

Denise’s deepest wish is to give both of her babies the headstones they deserve. This would be a permanent way to honor their short but beautiful lives, and a place where she and her family can find closure.

We are asking for your help to make this possible. Every donation will go directly toward purchasing and placing headstones for Drea and Levi.

Mandatory headstone cost: $1,840
Cost after taxes and fees: $2,100
Total cost for two headstones: $4,200
