Denise is my 2 1/2-year-old daughter, and she’s been fighting serious medical challenges since birth. She was born at just 27 weeks and has already endured four brain surgeries, a heart surgery, and two stomach surgeries. Recently, Denise started having seizures, and the hospital here in Nebraska hasn’t been able to find the cause. Despite trying different medications, her seizures continue, and she’s had allergic reactions to some of the treatments. The doctors are now considering brain surgery, but her scans keep coming back normal, which leaves us with more questions than answers.

I’m trying to get Denise to Children’s Hospital in Colorado for a second opinion and better care. The process is urgent, as her current medication isn’t stopping the seizures, and I want to make sure every option is explored before any major surgery. The costs of travel and medical bills are overwhelming, especially since I had to quit my job to care for Denise and take her to appointments. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need help to get her the care she deserves.
