Help Serenity Fight Sarcoidosis and Rebuild her future

Hello, my name is Margret “Denise” Neal, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time our family has ever faced.
My daughter, Serenity Gray, a bright and loving young woman who graduated high school in May 2024, has been battling serious health issues since June 2024. We’ve visited numerous doctors and specialists, desperately searching for answers.
Then, on April 6, 2025, our world was shaken again—we were involved in a devastating car accident that left us both with neck and back injuries—and without a vehicle. This made it incredibly difficult to get to work and attend the many medical appointments Serenity urgently needs.
On June 7, Serenity suffered a severe medical flare-up and was admitted to Children’s Hospital, where she stayed for 10 days—even spending her 19th birthday in a hospital bed on June 15. Two days later, she was transferred to Clements University Hospital, where she underwent a bronchoscopy and lymph node biopsy.
That’s when we finally received a diagnosis: Sarcoidosis—a rare, painful, and often misunderstood condition that affects the lungs and lymphatic system.
Since her hospitalization, I’ve had to stop working consistently to care for Serenity full-time. The financial strain has taken a heavy toll on us. We are behind on rent and bills, and without transportation, simply getting to appointments or buying groceries has become nearly impossible.
But through it all, Serenity has shown extraordinary strength and grace. In the middle of her flare-ups and hospital stays, she launched a small homemade cookie business—a symbol of her hope and determination. She also dreams of attending Texas A&M University–Commerce to become a pediatric nurse, so she can one day help other children facing medical challenges like hers.
Serenity’s fight isn’t over—but with your help, she doesn’t have to face it alone.
Your support will help cover:
• Medical expenses and medications
• Rent, utilities, and essential bills
• Transportation (to replace the car we lost in the accident)
• Basic living costs while I continue to care for her full-time
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Every prayer, every share, every dollar makes a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.
With love and gratitude,
Denise & Serenity Gray
