Hi, my name is Denise, and I’m a single mom, reaching out for support during the fight of my life.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome with CIDP — a rare and aggressive neurological condition that attacks the nervous system and can affect the ability to breathe. For those unfamiliar, it often comes on suddenly, usually triggered by illness or extreme stress. We were able to catch it early m, and has only affected my lower extremities.
I’ve been in the hospital for six days undergoing extensive testing, and I’ve just begun treatment. The journey ahead will be long and difficult — but I’m determined to fight through it with strength, faith, and the support of my community.
I’m a proud mother, a dog mom to three, and a foster mom to two. I’ve always been a hard worker, juggling three jobs to support my family. But right now, I’ve lost the use of my legs, which means I can’t work or provide for my home.
Despite having insurance, the costs are already overwhelming — hospital bills, out-of-pocket expenses, and the need for:
• In-home healthcare
• Ongoing physical therapy
• Regular medical follow-ups
• Additional treatments and mobility support
This is a life-altering diagnosis, and I’m humbly asking for help so I can focus fully on healing. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing my story. Your prayers, encouragement, and kindness mean more than I could ever express.
Thank you for standing with me.
— Denise
