Help Denise and Bella Rebuild After Hurricane
Donation protected
As many of you know, Hurricane Milton devastated many families in Tampa. One of those families is my dear friend Denise and her daughter Bella (one of my youngest daughter’s best friends). Their home, located in the Tampa neighborhood of Town & Country, was completely flooded and destroyed during the storm.
For the last several weeks, I've stood by watching Denise try to pull it all together herself, while she's been juggling beginning to work again remotely during the day, demolishing the interior of her home herself per flood insurance requirements, removing and sorting all her damaged belongings, and meeting with contractors, all while waiting on FEMA and her insurance. And when you're exhausted both emotionally and physically, not having a home to go to at the end of the day to recharge just adds to the devastation.
She has refused any major financial help from her friends, but this just isn't sustainable. She can't wait; contractors need to start now, she needs help.
I live here in Tampa, and a lot of my friends and family outside of Florida have asked if I know someone who needs help... these two are that someone. I love them and I feel helpless. Please help me help them.
Money raised will go towards temporary housing costs, replacement of lost wages due computer damage and power outages, and also to help pay for repairs above what her flood insurance will cover. Currently, the contractor's demolition quote is $18k.
