02-13-26 UPDATE
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful mom, Denee, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many.
Denee radiated joy, faith, and love all the way until her final moments, singing and praising the Lord for all He had done. She lived her life with compassion, confidence, and a deep love for others, truly embodying what it means to walk in faith.
Our family is incredibly grateful for every prayer, message, donation, and act of kindness that has surrounded us during this journey. The support you have shown has carried us through some of the hardest days of our lives, and we will never be able to fully express what that means to us.
As we navigate this next chapter, funds raised will continue to help cover remaining medical expenses and funeral costs, and any remaining funds will be donated in Denee’s honor to support another single mother in need of life-saving cancer care, something that was deeply important to her heart.
We are at a loss for words, but we love you, Mommy. We will carry forward your legacy, your faith, and your love for Jesus in everything we do.
With love and gratitude,
Emma, Peyton, Nate, and Family

Hi, this is Emma speaking on behalf of my mom and my family. We have a quick update on Denee’s condition. She has entered the hospice phase of her journey with cancer, so we “paused” the GoFundMe that was so generously donated to for her immediate care and were trying to get her to a cancer-centric hospital. We were contacted offline by a colleague of hers, and they recommended restarting the campaign to assist with pending medical bills and eventual funeral costs. Her friend said people want to help!, so we were grateful to hear that and appreciative of the support of Denee in her hardest of moments. We have identified two cancer hospitals, one being MD Anderson and the other City of Hope, and any remaining funds will be donated to one of them for specifically “a single mother needing life-saving cancer care.” My mom wants to pay it forward, even in the worst of moments, she believes in helping others. If you still feel lead to donate and support Denee, we are grateful and we will share the news to her directly about that support. With love Emma, Peyton, and Nate and family.

If you know my mom, you know she is the kind of person who puts everyone else first. She’s a devoted mother, a loving daughter, a sister, a loyal friend, and a woman of deep Christian faith. She has spent her life showing up for others, through prayer, encouragement, and unwavering love, and now she needs help in a way she never imagined.
Denee has been diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer that moves incredibly fast. Hearing those words turned our world upside down. Everything became urgent, decisions, treatments, appointments, all while trying to hold onto hope.
For the best chance at treatment, Denee must pursue specialized care. Unfortunately, due to insurance limitations, she is self-insured, which means much of her treatment comes with overwhelming out-of-pocket costs. Medical bills are already stacking up, and this is only the beginning. Between hospital stays, ongoing treatments, medications, travel, and supportive care, the financial burden is more than our family can carry alone.
Asking for help does not come naturally to my mom or our family. But we are humbly and honestly asking now, because this fight is bigger than us.
Every donation, every prayer, and every share means more than words can express. Your generosity helps give my mom access to the care she needs, without the constant fear of how we will afford the next step. It gives her time, comfort, and the chance to focus on what matters most, fighting this disease and holding onto faith and hope.
If there are any remaining funds that do not go directly toward Denee’s medical bills or related expenses, our family is committed to continuing this fight by advocating for single mothers facing cancer without adequate insurance. We don’t yet know exactly what that will look like, but we do know this… Denee is not alone. There are other single moms walking this same road, in need of support, access to cancer focused care, and hope.
Christ centered love, kindness, peace, and caring for others have been Denee’s guiding principles throughout her life and her cancer journey. Those same values are what guide this ask. Directly or indirectly, Denee has always found a way to help others, and now, in her moment of need, we are asking for help for her.
If you are able to give, any amount helps, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you are not in a place to donate, we completely understand, sharing Denee’s story or keeping her in your prayers means just as much to us. We believe deeply in the power of community, faith, and kindness, and we are holding onto that now more than ever.
Thank you for helping us fight for our mom.
